Лет 45 назад мы с братом впервые посетили Тобольск.
Гуляя по городу, наткнулись на местный драматический театр, о котором знали только то, что его здание считали архитектурным шедевром как единственное деревянное здание театра в СССР.
К тому же этот театр был старейшим в Урало-Сибирском регионе, основан в 1705 году, пережил несколько пожаров и восстановлений "аки птица Феникс".
Ну, само собой, захотелось увидеть театр изнутри.
Купили мы два билета на спектакль, и, в предвкушении, направились вечерком в "очаг культуры".
Но на дверях закрытых обнаружили табличку: "В связи с тем, что на спектакль продано всего два билета, представление отменяется".
Билеты сдавать не стали, сохранили как сувенир.
А.Н. Радищев, остановившийся в Тобольске по пути в ссылку в Илимский острог в 1790 - 1791 годах, слушал в Тобольском театре оперу А. Аблесимова "Мельник - колдун, обманщик и трус".
Из писем Радищева известно, что он был изумлен умелой и правдивой игрой актеров.
С Тобольским театром связаны судьбы многих известных деятелей культуры, уроженцев Тобольска, в том числе П.П Ершова и А.А. Алябьева.
В 1885 году было основано Тобольское драматическое общество. По его инициативе, на народные пожертвования было построено здание "Народной аудитории", торжественное открытие которой состоялось в сентябре 1899 года. Новое здание, в котором расположился театр, часто называли "чудо-теремом".
В 1988 году в этом здании состоялся последний спектакль. Театр был переведен в новое помещение. Предполагалось, что после ремонта в "теремке" будет располагаться театральный музей. Однако, уникальное здание было уничтожено пожаром осенью 1990 года.
Ныне театр драмы располагается в стандартном бетонном коробе и посещать его, лично у меня, никакого желания нет.
About 45 years ago, my brother and I visited Tobolsk for the first time.
Walking around the city, we came across a local drama theater, about which they only knew that its building was considered an architectural masterpiece as the only wooden theater building in the USSR.

A Little History
A.N. Radishchev, who stopped in Tobolsk on his way to exile in the Ilimsk prison in 1790 - 1791, listened to A. Ablesimov's opera "The Miller - a Sorcerer, a Deceiver and a Coward" at the Tobolsk Theater. From Radishchev's letters it is known that he was amazed at the skillful and truthful performance of the actors.
The fates of many famous cultural figures, natives of Tobolsk, including P.P. Ershov and A.A. are connected with the Tobolsk Theater. Alyabyeva.
In 1885, the Tobolsk Dramatic Society was founded. On his initiative, the People's Auditorium building was built using public donations, the grand opening of which took place in September 1899. The new building in which the theater was located was often called the “miracle tower.”
The last performance took place in this building in 1988. The theater was moved to new premises. It was assumed that after renovation the theater museum would be located in the “teremka”. However, the unique building was destroyed by fire in the fall of 1990.
Nowadays the drama theater is located in a standard concrete box and I personally have no desire to visit it.
